Quick made snacks recipe Aloo k Barule, It’s a famous dish of Aligarh and it is generally served with palak ki chutney. In some places, it is also referred to as a veg cutlet.
Ingredients –
- 250gm Small Size Potato
- ½ T.S Red Chilli Powder
- 1 T.S Table Salt
- 2 T.S Chaat Masala
- 1 Pinch red color
- 1 T.S gram flour
- 1 T.S arrowroot or rice flour
- Refined Oil for frying
Method –
First, put the potatoes in the pressure cooker and boil them with a whistle. When potatoes are cold, peeled them.
Add gram flour in a bowl then add arrowroot o rice flour. Now add half teaspoon red chili powder, one teaspoon of chaat masala, a pinch of red color, and one teaspoon of salt. After this, prepare a thick solution by adding water to it.
The solution should be so thick that it sticks to the whole potato. Add all the sprinkled potatoes in the batter and mix. Now let these potatoes remain in the batter for ten minutes.
Now heat oil in a pan, then when the oil is hot, add the potatoes one by one to the hot oil. Similarly, deep fry all the potatoes. When the potatoes are fried, put them in a plate and press them lightly.
Now add chaat masala to it and after that add green chutney. Now serve them hot. Your Barules are ready to eat.
